Don't right him off...
because he's back to cause havoc!

April 2nd and the PFC mob congregate a Siefrra Leon for Game 9 of league II. Emotions were running high as the excitement grew for what was going to be a very interesting match. With the league table standings being something that the PFC fans have never seen before. For the first time in history we have a possible winner from 4 players!

Starting the game of with some def freestyle rapping and ultra stupid made up songs, Bob starts the game on a high, loving every minute of games 9 . That was up until he risked his stack by trying to hit his draw for a straight or flush. Outs spewing everywhere but hitting nothing he reluctantly takes a sofa session and ditches out of the game pretty early on. Disappointed with the outcome Bob's luck slightly changed with a 16 of of 180 finish and a 2nd out of 18 finish in some online tourneys. Currently spanking his monkey in last place in the league, he now must at least now try to scoop some bounties in the final match.

The game from the start was quite aggressive with many large bets being placed. A number of players seemed to be constantly playing the big stakes and it was only a matter of time before one of them went. Claiming a point for his league total is Butch, who, from the outset looked hungry for the money and played hard against the PFC clan. Maybe too many calls and raises got the better of Butch as he hits the rail for some supernatural fun! His 1 point this week keeps him 2nd in the league, tied at 50 points at the top of the table. Has Butch got what it takes to clinch the title of PFC Champion League II 2009?

Another player to be ranked highly in this season's league battle is Al who unfortunately goes out in 6th place but does it mean that he too stays at the top of the table, tieing on points at 50. His league position is in 3rd as the number of 4th places is dictating his position. This really shows how close it all is... deciding position based on the number of 4th places? holy hubbard lovers! What's going to happen?! Has Al finally run out of cards or has he got a franchise with pokemon and is waiting to cash in? Find out for the final showdown.. game 10.

Fresh faced and eager for some sort of poker mayhem, Math was syked from his recent snowboarding trip. Not wanting to go on too much about his perverse method airs and Bish's phat airs too much he got down to some serious poker playing to see if he could attack the leaders. Math held his own for some time in the arena until the cards or probably Seaf got the better of him. Scooping up a mellow 4 points, Math has dreams of getting in the bubble.. there is a very slim chance that he could do so and he'll be doing his best to win next week. Be sure to see Math playing aggressive too as he can see the tempting bounties that have been laid down before him.

Ultra pissed off Geth starts the night off tilting it up straight away with some risky calls but it all becomes clear to him as he see through the pain of the world and focuses on the cards, his friends and a cold beer. With a run of good cards we saw Geth playing some really NP's with massive bets being called and raises all over the place. Geth was in the midst of it all and looked strong in very confrontation. This was great but all for one fact. Nearly every time he was in a large pot the outcome was a split pot. Time and again Geth splits pots with lots of players. This was the game of splits, never before have there been so many.... splits. Geth unfortunately lands out of the bubble and gets 5 points. He's off the bottom of the table and will be looking for those bounties!

Down to 3 and we've got 3 to the top players at PFC. This seasons early favorite to win goes out next. Playing his usual solid/aggressive/risky/raisey play Bish laps up 6 points to add to his league total. After last weeks position of 3rd he has had a very good result this weeks as the 6 points get his total up to 50, joint with Al and Butch but he placed first as his 3rd place finishes tell us that he's on top! Again, we can see that it is so close at the top. It's anyone's game! Can Bish keep his position and become the champion of the PFC empire!

Cool as school, Dani 'the Toe get's himself heads up for what must now be very familiar. We've seen Dani playing some really solid poker this season and this match was no different. Level headed and determined to get a result Dani shovels his 8 points for second place onto his league points to propel himself into 4th place. With 47 points it means that Dani is one of the players to be in contention for the title of PFC Champion Lg II 2009 and also would mean that Dani would be the only person to ever win it twice. Dani currently stands as the only person to win it once so you can really see what this would mean!! Will just miss out on the title or is he already dusting down his $ bling bling medallion ready for the paparazzi! Thanks for the sofa time Dani :)

*silence

Something's happened in the PFC underground... there's a cold wind blowing from the east... ravens cry out in the smoky mist.. there is an image... it's blurry... focusing... an image of a finger... the finger of a man.. a man who was a PFC 2nd place finisher in league 1... that man and finger... belong to Seaf!

From being last 3 times during this league, we are now seeing an uprising from PFC's Seaf long. It's been along time coming as he's been waiting for his time to strike. Dominating game 9 Seaf clears the decks with some fucking mental plays.. 6 3off suit against Bish's AK was probably the highlight of his all in cards but this didn't stop him from hitting what he needed and getting the much needed win. 12 points beefs him up to 46 and he sits in 5th place. A win for Seaf and he's looking good for title. Tune in next time for the final of this seasons league. GG all.

Bad Boy Butch Beats Da Boys .
Penarth crew taking over.

Game 8, Tuesday 3rd March at Bishtanbul and the end of season tension has started to mount. After game 7 the top of the table had started to change and now was the time for people to make there move.

First to go was last games second place finalist Math who didn't find his feet and got robbed of his chips as his nemesis Al snipes the river. Math low stacking makes a final attempt to double up as he goes all in with a pair of sixes against Seaf's flush draw... flush hits and Math hits the laptop to book his snowboarding trip for the weekend... have a great time Math!

Next up for the 1 point is last weeks winner Al. After the heady heights of last weeks win Al gets wiped out after a barrage of aggression and boisterous raises. Hanging in there for as long as possible, Al turns his 300 chips back up over a thousand and it looks as though he might pull himself out of trouble. This was not to be as Al somehow misses a 1 outer for a change! Sitting in second now so he's not that bothered!

Seaf hasn't been playing his best season which showed again this game as he goes out in 6th position. Untrue to form Seaf gets bullied out of pots with some cunning bets and bluff from the other players. He would usually be able to defend against these raises but Seaf just hasn't got his eye in. Still brimming with confidence Seaf will be back to try and make a mends and a least get to 3rd.

Bob's still not back in the game properly which showed this week with this 5th place finish. Playing a few more hands this week Bob claimed a few nice pots and had a reasonable stack for part of the game. This slowly dwindled away as he makes some rash decisions towards the end of his game. The match ended for Bob with his A9 suited against a trapping Bish's AK off. No 9 for Bob and he hits road back to Ponty.

Down to 4 and the dreaded last place is up for grabs. From the start Bish was high stacking, simply battering the competition with some bold raises and lucky catches. Mr Straight draw keeps betting into the pot scaring off potential callers and claiming everything he can get his hands on. As the blinds rose towards the end of the game Bish finds himself out of chips and out of the game. Currently in 3rd his lead has been taken away from him and now he must get back on his game.

Bursting into the bubble and the 3 players are doing battle for this weeks jackpot. Not having the best game in the first half of the match was Geth but this changed as time went on. Geth play got stronger as he found feet with his more confident approach. Geth's downfall came as his all in 2 pair doesn't hold up has his opponent Bish hits one of his many straight draws and claims Geths final chips. Geth's 6 points creeps him closer to 7th place but he still resides in 8th.

Down to two and at the final table is Butcher and last season's champion Dani. Dani had been playing his winning strategy of tight aggressive all night and didn't put a hand wrong. In an interview Dani had this to say "i think i played a cracking game, confident heads up..took the chip lead away from butcher..few blinds go both ways ..I catch a flush on the flop..Butch catches trips..were all in...turn..nothing..river the King that makes Butcher full house.. left me short stacked to hell, and all inned with a k 7 tryin to steal the blind..n got called with kj " Butch's monster hand knocks Dani out to give him 8 points and he's at 4th in the league.

Speaking of new league positions PFC have a new leader! Butch goes top of the table, 2 points clear of his sidekick Al. A confident Butch this week took time out from his tea making to concentrate on his poker. Playing a cautious but edgy game Butch get's himself to the bubble and knocks out the champion for the win. Butch's victory came as Dani's Q9 against his 77 hits trips on the turn and it's the full 12 points. This is Butchers first ever win at the table and now with his position he must be confident to take the title. WP Butch.

Birthday Boy Celebrates..
Hit'm hits'm again to go top.

18th Feb at Toeran and the PFC Pros congregate for game 7, an important match in the PFC calender. Starting out everyone was ready to do battle and see how much chips they could pillage from their opponents. Strong, deceive betting led from the start until the first monster hand came and a double knockout.

With 3 spades on the flop, Math, Dani and Bish were betting hard, each having a great hand and each thinking they were ahead of each other. Dani holding the nut flush, Bish with a flush and Math holding 2 pair, J A. Turn comes, another J, completing Maths hand for a full house. Both Dani and Bish were all in and Math scoops up a massive wedge of chips propelling him into the lead and knocking Dani and bish into oblivion. Unfortunately for Bish, he was beaten by both hands and means he finishes in 8th place... a double zero from the dark one.

Just before this monster three way, Seaf had a bit of ill fortune and had spunked a load of his chips away. Now low stacking at around 1000 chips, Seaf held on for a while waiting for his spot to double up. After several hands of looking for his time he decided to go all in with K Q off. Seaf doesn't find what he's looking for and hits the rail early. After last weeks win he's back on form with his zigzag style. Seaf claims 3 points this week and actually pushes him up 1 place in the league to 5th. He'll be back!

With Geth at the bottom of the table before this game, he needed to pull his socks up and get a decent result. His game style this week was a solid and he looked strong, gaining a nice stack and defending it well. With five pros on the table everyone was playing to win and after many blind levels it was Geths time to depart. Towards the end of his game he gets stung to hit the rail for 4 points but doesn't scrape himself off the bottom of the table. Looking at his graph we can see a weekly improvement so next weeks game is looking promising.

Down to four and all the pros were trying avoid the dreaded 4th place. Again the blind levels came and went until it was time for Butcher, first to make the tea, then to accept the 5 points. Over the last three games Butcher has consistently been hitting the fourth spot, this is reminiscent of how Bish was in league 1, consistently getting mid table points but not quite hitting the points he needs. Good play but he needs to raise his game and get some cash.

It's bubble time and after a good hour of battling it was tight on the table. With chips stacks changing hands so often it could have been anyone's game. Both Math, Bob and Al try their hardest until the first of the bubble boys crash out. With 10 10 in hand Bob goes all in which is insta-called from Math holding QQ. Nothing on the board to help him Bob gallantly goes out for a nice 6 points. No change in the league standings from this player.

Heads up and it was a short lived affair. After hours of play, both head victims were just waiting for a great hand to knock the other one out. Math, heavy chip stacking for nearly all of the game, nearly takes out Al only for him to come back. Again the chip pass back to Math and he's got the edge. This play went back and forth until the inevitable happened. Math gets stung and Al wins the game. Perhaps Math should have won the game, he played exceptionally well throughout, the only thing that stopped him winning was his nemesis, Al.

Al played a great game this week but it wasn't all plain sailing as on numerous occasions found himself with a dwindling stack. Finding his good cards he managed to hold on in there until some nice double ups came. twice whilst heads up Al goes all in against Math and was sure to be out if it wasn't for the river. Some very nice catches keeps Al in and he hits the right cards for the win. It's Al second PFC win this season and this has got to put him in contention for the league title as he goes to the top of the table, 7 points clear.

GG All.

A dark day for PFC...
Seaf hits the spot lit first place.

Monday 10th February and the scene is set in Mathaganistan. After an administration error in the organisation of game 6 the game got underway a hour and a half late. With the pros dying to get the game underway, a barrage of text messages were sent out to Seaf in order to get the game started earlier. This didn't help Seaf to prepare for the match and enters the arena a little tilted pre match. This was not to be an issue as the game unfolded.

The beginnings of the game saw a lot of high stakes from the off set with everyone trying to get themselves a bulging stack of plenty, one lucky player to develop his stack early was Bish. although this was not to last that long as he gets stung with some bad beats and eliminated. One hand in particular was his final hand, all in with AK against Geth's AQ. A queen coming out on the board for Geth and its an early shower for Bish.

Next to go was Bob. This week he managed to get 7th place which, with his standard of play, was a very good result.

Following Bob to the rail is Geth. In the early stages of the game Geth was playing some good cautious poker. Not letting himself get into too many potentially chip draining situations. Hitting lucky on the board against Bish gave him a decent chip stack which helped him for a while until it was his time to depart.

5th place this week was awarded to Al, who in his distinctive style hits plenty of cards to keep him in contention in the game and in the league. Playing some courageous poker, Al played a good game. One hand in particular was against Bob where Al had a full house, 9's full of Aces which he called against Bobs bluff to decimate his chip stack early on. Al remains in second position in the league.

Next spot was the dreaded 4th place and this is where Butcher makes his exit. From the outset Butch was playing some great poker and also employing some great tea strategy! Carefully accessing how much milk to pour gave Butcher the edge on the refreshment front. Also Butch helped the game out by keep it flowing, getting the players to keep their minds on the game. This focus helped Butch keep his cool and earn some well deserved points. One of his memorable hands was when he hit the nuts with a straight and went all in against Geth, putting the pressure on but having to split the pot with Geths call and similar straight. Butch currently sitting in 3rd in the league and loving his position. Another 4th place this week, making it two in a row... he'll be wanting to crack that bubble next game and walk away with the ca$h.

3rd place next and the juicy 6 points is awarded to Math. After some intensive training with the new microsep protocols, Math was again dangerous and playing some winning poker. After last games win Math was full of confidence, finding his stride and collecting a monster chip stack for most of the game. Math demise came when he foolishly slow played pocket kings against Seaf's nothing, 9,4 probably. Both checked to the river until Seaf quick called Maths all in with two pair and goes out a bit disappointed with his play. Math sits in 5th place in the league, matched on points with Seaf but ahead because of 3rd place positions. No spud will be back but without the slow play.

Down to two and it's "I always win heads up" Dani to crumble to Seaf perversely lucky cards. Sticking true to form Dani plays his usual cautious poker looking for his moments to sting his opposition. One such incident was when Dani was low stacking but with AJ and came up against J9s from Bob. Jack hits the board and Bob goes all in only to be instantly called from Dani and he scoops his chips to give him what he needs to go nearly all the way. Heads up against Seaf and Dani starts to level out with seafs chip stack, his pocket 4's giving him the double up to almost catch him. Later the same pocket fours are cracked by Seafs lucky flush on the river. With Seaf luck Dani could reach the top spot but will be well happy with the 8 points.

So this week it's the turn of seaf to take the coveted first place at the PFC table. Adopting 12 points into his league standings he scrapes himself off the bottom of the table to sit in 6th position in the league. Only 11 points of the league leader the silver medal champion from last season looks set to give the other pros something to think about as he starts his attack for the top. Pre match Seaf was stressed with the offline game banter but kept his cool by not bluffing and playing some tight, solid poker. Heads up against Dani and the cards flowed just right as time and again hit what he was looking for. This will give seaf confidence to play his best and reach the heights of the league, but he better watch out for the other pros determined to knock Seaf out.
WP seaf.

Game 5
From the depths of the league...
Spudless hero makes a deep impact to win his first game of the season

PFC crew come together for what was to be a memorable match. Playing the third game in 2 weeks the league is starting to flourish as there commotion at the table as positions change, putting pressure on the league leader.

Tension mounts as we commence into game 5 with all the PFC posse looking to get their ass up the table and beat Bish. To make the game more interesting numerous bounty's were laid down. Prime targets were Bish and Seaf. Last seasons champion offered the crew cash if Seaf was to get another zero and also £5 to knock Bish out in either 6th, 7th or 8th. This bounty was slightly impaired with the first to go in the game...Dani.

Dani playing his usual cautious style joins the other zero runners as his position stays the same in the league. UL Dani.

Another unfortunate player this was Geth. Not finding any good cards he goes out for just 1 point, a disappointment but he'll be back.

Next up to hit the rail is Seaf. After last weeks shocking display of spudlessness, Seaf get to the table late but with a heart felt gesture. A truce to Math but he didn't seem to recognise it... is there still animosity between these players? We'll be finding out in the next series of games.

With the game stretching out for a long time, it took a while for the the PFC warriors to topple the league leader. Bish goes from low stack to high stack and back to be knocked out for 4 points, eluding the bounty on his head.

Down to 4 and next to go was Butch. High stacking Butch played confidently but got stung once to often before his stack demise.

Hitting the bubble is Bob as he, once again hangs on in there by the skin of his cards. Same boring play this week but it seems to be working!

Down to two and its was Hit'm Al who was to feel the pinch as fatigue starts to strike. With the blinds at massive states it was only a matter of time before someone was to go.

With a solid pair of 3s Math claims his first win this season and a well deserved 12 points. Clearing his ass off the bottom of the table and launching him into 4th place, this has got to be a blow to the league dweller Seaf.
GG all.

Game 4
Bish Bash Bosh
Second PFC win from Bish this league... is he unstoppable?

Monday the 12th January 09 saw the 4th PFC match in league 2 and what a match it turned out to be. With all 8 members present this week it was time to see who had what it took to gained the points this week. From the outset large bets and full on aggression took centre stage with all the pros doing there best to get the edge and forge their way to victory.

First to hit the rail was Geth. Disappoint for Geth he was playing very good poker until some bad beats started to hack into his chips. Not wanting to miss out on the poker action he turned to online poker for the remainder of the session developing his stack to a nice size only to get stung with his Jacks with an evil river card from his opponent. Double whammy for Geth this week and he'll be looking to regain his table image next week.

Butch was next to fall into the zone of misfortune as he hits 7th place. After last weeks missed game Butch must have been a little out of practice but did play some great poker, raising with his good hands and folding the rest.

Next to disappear from the table was Seaf. Playing the tightest anyone has ever seen him play, he plays only his premium hands hoping that he'll get called and that people will think he's bluffing. Without the usual bravado and aggression Seaf gets stung and is ejected from the arena. After going all-in with a minimal chip stack with K6off against Bob's AQs he doesn't win this race. A somewhat pissed off Seaf spuds the PFC before his departure but gives Math the cold shoulder and a declines his spud. This type of outlandish behavior is rare at PFC and it shows that Seaf took a bad fall.

With the aggression master out of the picture the game ebbed and flowed for a while with everyone playing pretty tight, hoping to progress further. With some great cards and good Poker skills Math held on for a while, developing his chip stack only to be beaten time and again by Hit'm Al, who munched his chips away. Math hits 5th place and 4 points, a marked improvement from the last 2 weeks. Hopefully he'll be back on his way up next week to get off the bottom of the table.

Not long after Math hit the rail Al comes and joins him. Low stacking Al's strategy was simply go all-in when he had a good hand and try to develop his stack back up to the bulging tower blocks of chips he had previously. This worked for a while until his flush draw missed and he was out. Not a bad position this week, although he'll be wanting to do better next week to try to start to catch Bish.

Bob is back! After last weeks shockingly bad game Bob finds his feet and gets back into the swing of things. Slightly depressed at the start of the match where pots were few and far between, his confidence starts to grow as the game progressed. With more bets and a bit more aggression Bob makes it to the bubble but doesn't really have the chips to take it all the way. Holding on for dear life he makes a foolish Kd3d all-in bet against Bish's insta call A7off. Just missing out on 1 diamond he swallows the not so bitter pill of 3rd place. This player is on the up... watch out!

Heads up and it's Bish and Dani. Dani had been playing his winning strategy over the period of the match. Once again lurking at the side of the table waiting for his moments and taking down large pots. Nearer the end of the match Dani's chips start to disappear but with some nice double ups he goes chip leader against Bish. This was Dani's first heads up battle where the outcome wasn't a win. He nearly had Bish towards the end but there was one thing he did prepare for ... Bish's A7 off suit!

Well, he's done it again, Bish hits the top spot for his second PFC win this season. This player has now started to streak ahead of the other players. After last seasons form of being the most consistent, averaging mid table points nearly every game, Bish remains consistent but this time at the top. Now on 35 points the other pros are starting to wonder if this is a 1 horse race. Deft skills in the latter part of the game saw Bish nibbling away at both Dani's and Bobs stacks as he boldly calls Dani's all-ins and scoops the reminding chips. WP Bish!

Game 3
Call'em, Raise'em & Rape'em.
The Emod hits 1st place.

Game 3 and we're back in the realms of Toe Mansion as the PFC troupe get down and dirty for a match with a twist. After weeks of waiting throughout the festive period it was time to get the next league game underway. All the players were confirmed for the night except one, Butcher, who couldn't make it due to unknown circumstances. The PFC council allowed for Butcher to let The Emod play in his place. It was agreed and the game commenced.

First half of the game saw a lot of fluctuation in chips between all of the players and the overall quality was of a good tight nature. Solid play from all the pros until the knockouts started to come.

First to go was Math and this meant, unfortunately for him, that he picks up the double zero and zero points in the league. This game didn't sit very well with Math starts to get frustrated after the break and is finally knocked out with an incredibly over zealous all in bet with ace high. Not signing the "Win with an Ace high" song Math, distraught and dismayed, denounced league 3 and left to form his own Sep league. Math currently resides at the bottom of the table, muttering and cursing to himself. UL Math.

Next to drop into the pit of pity is Bob. This player played a game so bad that he should just not played at all. Not recalling ever winning a single pot in this game Bob sat in his seat waiting for something to happen. Without any good hands to play with he ambles along waiting to catch anything. A few bad bluffs and beats later and it's a miserable 1 point. This lad's got to sort his game out or all the money from the league jackpot will be out of his reach. Lamely in 7th place in the league.

The next load of players to go all played good strong poker. The chips were moving around the table visiting everyone's stacks for a short holiday then moving on to the next stack. Where were the chips were going? We found out in the next wave of Poker annihilation.

The Toe is next to go. Dani takes home 3 points for his efforts in this weeks game. Playing his usual tight aggressive game Dani didn't do a lot wrong but ditches out for an early bath. Big thanks for the full round of tea, admin hope that there was enough milk for your Shreddies.

Al doesn't hit them all this week, in fact doesn't have the his best game but does hold his own for a while. Playing a lot of good poker, Al managed to get himself into 4th place giving him a very good position in the league at 3 place. Nearer the end, Al fold the nuts preflop and this psychologically cripples him and he crashes out with 4 points.

Just missing out on the prizes Geth allows one too many bad hands and beats to get the better of him. Playing his new strength strategy Geth continues to be a contender for the title, fighting off stiff competition whilst his stack slowly dwindled.

The game started to pick up pace and we were down to 3. In cruel twist of reality something very unusual happened at the PFC arena. For once the other PFC pros were cheering on Seaf. The usual villain of PFC was championed from the rail as he did his best to get into the payout. Claiming his 6 points he climbs into 6th place in the league. A little smile from Seaf as he starts his attack for 1st place.

With Seaf out of the picture it was time for this games heads up battle and it's Bish vs the Emod. It looked as though it might be a one sided affair with the experienced Bish looking to dominate play with aggression and large raises. This is exactly what happened as the Emod's massive chip stack started to shrink like sun dried tomato.

Bish's play throughout the match showed the other players that he is on fire in this league and a force to be reckoned with. Playing a very good match by raising, reraising and holding his nerve in dangerous situations, he plays an almost perfect game. Taking it to the wire and almost takes victory.... almost, as he was up against deadly Emod.

The Emod has graced the PFC table earlier in league 1 and has been spotted in some underground sep action. Her skills have been developing under the radar of the other players and it was game 3 where we were to see her in best form. Right from the outset the Emod doesn't take any shit as she calls raises with solid hands, raises above and beyond the reach of other players and plays the other pros out of their chips and out of the game. With a myriad of good cards, she gains a massive chip lead towards the end. One particularly big had was against Seaf, where the Emod coaxes chips right from his nose with the covert nut flush.

Not having been heads up in many games the Emod did very well to dodge Bish's raises, playing cautiously and trying to find a way to get a Bish. With the time ebbing away Emod lays down the law as she goes all in a number of times to demolish Bish's stack. Very well played from the Emod, she proves her worth at the PFC table and is now a fully fledged PFC Professional.

This twisty game means that although Butcher didn't make it to the table, the Emod scores him a cool 12 points and puts him in second place behind Bish. This leaves the PFC Pros wondering if the Emod was a secret ringer drafted in from the poker underground.

Game 2
Hit'm all Al cleans up
for his first PFC win.

Dani's house hosts the second game of league 2 and what a game it turned out to be. All the PFC professionals were eager to get their game on after weeks of waiting for the match. This became apparent with instant loose play from the off.

First to go is the Sepramaster Math who after hand 2 or 3 gets his chips sucked into Al's stack. Hand 4 and the title of "quickest to go out in a league match" is awarded to Math as the flush eludes him and again Al scrapes the last of his chips into already bulging stack.

Next to go is Butcher. Starting out tight Butch waited for a good hand to start the onslaught. Picking up Jacks he gets bullied off the flop when an Ace comes down only to see another Jack on the turn. Possible tilt factors might have influenced the hands that followed but one thing is for sure, Butcher doesn't hit the cards he's looking for as Seaf knocks him out into 7th place.

Next to fall into the pit of out-ness goes Bish who was just getting into his 120 stride when the wrong cards came his way and hits 6th meaning that the top 3 people from Game 1 all go out in the lowest positions, opening the league up and giving the chance for others to prosper.

The game progressed through a number of blind levels until it was the turn of Mr Loose-aggro-I-know-you-got-it-but-I'll-call Seaf as Al charms his chips from right under his nose. Seaf's game started well and he developed his stack well but after too many losses and raises (with nothing) goes out in 5th, a marked improvement from the last game.

Position 4 was a long drawn out affair with the short stacks Dani & Bob holding on for dear life hoping for the double up and up. After many hands through 80/40 and 100/50 Bob finally gets out drawn by Al. Frustrated Bob just could catch a break after going all-in to double up firstly A8 against Geths A4 (split) pot, J7 against Al's J6 (split) and finally loses his cool and gets called K2 against Al's K8. Although disappointed he knows that he played the hands right so gives him some confidence for game 3.

With Bob's bubble burst the players in the payout start to wake up, especially Dani who had been playing tighter than a virgin's daughter. A couple of pot wins didn't help Dani progress any further but he was happy to get his £8 plus the little win from the earlier Sepra. All in all, Dani held on well and controlled his play for a great result.

Geth plays a great game as he reaches 2nd place and a juicy 8 points. In last seasons league we saw this player start to find his feet and develop his play to a higher standard in the PFC arena. The new form is prevalent in his latest play and the other players must now show more respect to this high flying professional. Playing a good mix of hands Geth dodges his way up the victory ladder only to be greeted at the top by Al.

Game 1 was nothing to judge Al by. His 1 point, 7 place didn't give any clues to the type of play that he displayed in this game as hand after hand he wins pots from everybody. Well judged raises and folds provided Al with a great solid table image as he plays a cracking game. It wasn't all down to skill though; Al must have had the most complete hands that the PFC crew have ever seen. Flushes, straights, full house, trips, were all there, mostly straight off the flop. One particularly good had was Al's Quad 8's, on the flop, against Math, a mighty hand for this mighty player. Al could do nothing wrong in this match and makes his first win at the PFC table a reality.

Will we see the same performance from AL in the next game or was it down to good fortune. Will Seaf raise/re-raise with nothing a lot next week? Will Bish bring any Maoams with him and will Bob win a pot? You'll have to find out in the next all-in battle of minds, PokerFC Game 3.

Game 1
Bish comes out on top with his second PFC win!

The new league kicked off Monday night and saw the start of the next wave of hustling. This season we're welcoming two new players into the league.

Butcher & Al are two sharks eager to reach the top of the PFC ladder which became apparent in the first game where Butcher hit second spot to launch his career. Al didn't have such a good start and only reaches 7th in the standings but can take solace in that he came higher than Seaf, who ditched out in 8th. Will Seaf retain his zig-zag result style or is he destined for a double zero?

Good strong play from Math, Geth and Dani this week. Math showing a lot of confidence with his betting and reaching 3rd. Geth, playing a good strong poker but must have got stung and Dani has a semi come back to just miss out on the payout.

Bob played a pretty poor game and defiantly didn't have what it takes to beat the likes of Bish who from the outset played very well, hitting loads of hands especially his favorite hand... the straight. It's straight to the bank for Bish to bank his winnings.
